The Thermal Survival System "BASHA" started in the parachute rigger shed at SEAL Team Four with developer Marc Lonergan-Hertel.

Marc's earlier experience with USMC 1st Force Reconnaissance Company prepped him to become a SEAL sniper deployed initially to the jungles of Central and South America—and modifying gear to suit the mission was no stranger to Marc.

His experiences with the first prototypes of the BASHA followed him on an around the world expedition as he scouted 3,000 miles of the Amazon alone for a journey featured on Nat Geo Channel and Discovery.

Deep within the Lost World of the Amazon on a river he called SIERRA TWO—the BASHA helped save his life. It is this experience that lead him on the path to develop this product for many to use.
